Welcome to the Manor Tavern. The Restaurant Team at The Manor Tavern, One of Maryland's finest Restaurants, is headed by Partners Jim Franzoni, & Drs. John and Bill Mitcherling. Executive Chef: Travis Szerensits and General Manager Sean Gahagan make up the team along with a talented team of dedicated restaurant professionals. The kitchen team includes French, English and American-trained Chefs who have studied at prestigious culinary establishments including CIA and the French Culinary Institute. The front of house team have gained experience in many of the world's leading restaurants - all bringing their exemplary service skills to this fine dining restaurant.

I'm passionate about fresh, local and sustainable ingredients. It's awesome to have such great local farms to support. Their abundance, along with our onsite gardens provides a comforting atmosphere. I am fortunate to have so many great resources to utilize. It allows me to be creative and explore seasonal flavors.
I remember cooking alongside my grandmother as a child. She taught me the importance of a good meal and to always share good food with good people. Cheers!!
Operating Manager: Sean Gahagan
I have been in the restaurant business since I was 15 years old. I started as a busboy and worked my way up through the ranks. By the age of 21, I was the bar manager at The Crease in Towson. By the age of 31, I was a partner in Souris Saloon. In the year 2000, I decided I wanted to move on to bigger and better things. After getting back to my roots of waiting on tables and bartending, I became the General Manager of BlueStone Restaurant followed by being the Director of Food Services for the College of Notre Dame.
As I am ready to enter my 37th year in the hospitality business, one thing has always remained the same. Each and everyday I come to work, I intend to make every guest happy. I want their experience to be a great one. There is only one way to achieve this and that is passion. I am a very lucky man to be able to go to work and love what I do. I am very fortunate for my wife Michelle, and our three beautiful girls Abigail, Olivia and Grace. Without their support, I would not be able to do what I love.

Whether you choose to have an event here at the restaurant or take us to a beautiful venue, home or farm we will strive to provide everything you need to have the most enjoyable and memorable event. In addition, not only do we support the Farm to Table by sourcing from all the local farms but we also have our own raised beds right on the property.
Each day I get to work with a team of extraordinary people, provide an amazing product and have the wonderful pleasure of helping guests "celebrate life" ! What a honor to have done this for 16 years and would have been impossible without all the support from my husband and children.
